Once ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’ announced that the franchise will be re-entering the Battle Royale sphere for the second year running with ‘Warzone’, anticipation started to build amongst the fanbase and even more-so now with the map that has been leaked.
Despite everyone expecting that the mode would have been released earlier this week, fans have been made to wait to lace up their boots and ready their weapons, with the March 10 rumoured release date a distinct possibility.
An update that will be the biggest since the game was released in October of last year, with questions surfacing as to whether the mode will be available as a standalone free-to-play title, has got plenty of gamers excited.
However, ‘Warzone’ is facing similar problems to that of the franchises’ first venture in the Battle Royale genre with ‘Blackout’, the map has seemingly been leaked on Reddit.
Reddit user Senescallo posted the below map on Wednesday and unsurprisingly it's already garnered a lot of attraction.
As many fans theorised, the map is meant to contain the already sizeable Ground War and Spec Ops maps, which isn’t surprising when the mode is expected to host a ground-breaking 200 players.
The leak is backed up by an apparent bug in-game that allows users to view the map, albeit at poor quality.
Below is the post on Reddit that seems to show the map in full.
An official announcement of ‘Warzone’ is yet to be made by Activision, but all the leaks and bugs that have surfaced has offered a small glimpse that has made it an almost certainty.
The below tweet has also been posted recently, which appears to show just what the map will actually look like on the game
As you can see, there appears to be a football stadium and a form of castle which could make for exciting spots in the game.
