Triple H is a man that knows exactly what it takes to become a household name in the WWE.

The 50-year-old, real name Paul Michael Levesque, has spent almost 30 years of his life in the wrestling business, winning all there is to win along the way.

A lengthy career for ‘The Game’ saw him inducted into the Hall of Fame last year as part of a D-Generation X stable that included Shawn Michaels, Chyna and The New Age Outlaws.

But entering the WWE Hall of Fame is the end goal, and it's a million miles away from where you are at the beginning of your career.

Avid wrestling fans might remember reality show ‘WWE Tough Enough’, which first aired in 2001 and was presented by none other than ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin.

One classic video from the very first series sees Triple H lecturing a bunch of contestants about what it takes to become an elite superstar in the franchise.

Grilling contestants about their motives for entering the process, Triple H then lets the stunned group in on a few home truths about what it really takes to become a WWE superstar – and all the sacrifices that go with it.

The show ran for six seasons between 2001 and 2014 and featured a number of aspiring wrestlers who were put through their paces with gruelling training, with the hope of securing a contract with the WWE.

Vince McMahon started the series with high hopes of unearthing someone who could go on to become a household name.

For many, fame and fortune didn’t come, but the show uncovered talent such as Ryback and The Miz, who went on to judge the competition in a later series.

One name some might remember is Maven Huffman. Huffman won the very first series of Tough Enough, and can be seen in the video above, before going on to strike up a feud with The Undertaker.

In his very first Royal Rumble appearance, Maven walked to the ring in 10th position before drop-kicking 'Taker over the top rope.

Could Tough Enough make a return? Who knows if it is on the cards, but it might be worth reviving if there was demand for it.
