Los Blancos are, arguably, the biggest club in the world.

Of course, they've had some of the best players ever don the famous white jersey.

But who has been the greatest of them all? To mark 118 years since Real Madrid were formed, Spanish publication AS have ranked the 50 greatest players in the club's history.

You can view the list that they came up with below:

20. Raymond Kopa

Kopa only played for the club between 1956-1959. In that time he finished runner-up twice in the Ballon d'Or and all finished third place twice.

16. Predrag Mijatović

Mijatovic netted 68 times in 128 games. He scored the only goal as Real Madrid beat Juventus in the 1998 Champions League final.

14. Juanito

Juanito scored 85 goals in 284 first division games for Madrid. He sadly passed away in 1992 after a road accident. He was just 37.

9. Pirri

Pirri scored 123 goals as a sweeper. He helped the club to 10 La Liga titles.

8. Amancio Amaro

Amancio scored over 100 times in a 14-year spell. He then went on to manage the club for 11 years.

Considered one of the greatest strikers of all-time, Puskas scored 156 times in 180 Spanish league games for Real Madrid.

3. Paco Gento

Gento spent 18 years in Madrid and helped the club to 23 trophies.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo

Controversial. Ronaldo shattered record after record during a nine-season spell. He netted 450 times for the club, which is over 100 goals more than any other player. He also helped them to four Champions League titles.

1. Alfredo Di Stefano

Di Stefano was the star player for a Real Madrid side that dominated world football in the 1950s and 1960s. He scored in five consecutive European Cup finals from 1956-1960.

SOCCER-REAL MADRID-ALFREDO DI STEFANO

Di Stefano was an incredible player but many will argue that Ronaldo was a better player.

AS haven't given reasons for why they consider Di Stefano to be greater, but the reason is perhaps due to how many more trophies he helped Real Madrid win during his spell.

Ramos is the highest active player and could easily move into the top 10 by the time he retires.

The most controversial pick on the list is Bale, who seems very high at 15. It's fair to say the majority of Real Madrid fans will not agree with that.
