There's something about a Gauntlet match that WWE seem to love in recent years. It's the match that elevated Kofi Kingston into a main eventer and into one of the top spots at WrestleMania last year, and we also saw Seth Rollins last an hour the year before on Raw.And with last night's SmackDown happening just two nights before Elimination Chamber, there was another Gauntlet match to determine who would enter last on the blue brand's side of things.Whilst Monday Night Raw's women will almost-certainly be main eventing in Philadelphia in their equivalent match, SmackDown's duos get the glory of entering the structure for a shot at the Tag Team Championships. It will be The Miz and John Morrison's first defence of the belts they won from Big E and Kofi Kingston at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia, and unfortunately for them, five other teams are standing in their way. They were all vying for the final entry spot into the Chamber though, and whilst they wouldn't end up winning the match, it ended up being all about Heavy Machinery.Otis and Tucker started the match off with Kofi and Big E, and it was E that was pinned after a Compactor from the large pairing. Then it was the turn of Lucha House Party to be eliminated, and then they took out another big scalp as The Usos took their turn to be taken out of the match.

The Tag Team Champions were then dumped out of the match unceremoniously due to another Tucker pin-fall, but then Miz and Morrison ended up slamming Otis through the ringside barricade - how dare they!

That left just one team left - and of course it was Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler - the very man who Otis has been rivalling with for the attention of Mandy Rose.

Despite his best efforts to 'Hulk up' after 45 minutes of action, Otis was downed with a Superkick from Ziggler, leaving fans irritated that he has not got his comeuppance yet.

This match definitely helped solidify Heavy Machinery as a major force in the tag team division though.

They probably won't be victorious this Sunday, but WWE are seemingly building up towards Otis having a WrestleMania moment where he gets the better of Ziggler and hopefully gaining Mandy Rose as well - and it'll be a spectacular moment!
