Liverpool knew that sealing all three points against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon was absolutely imperative. The Reds have been surprisingly off-form in recent weeks and suffered their first Premier League defeat of the season away at Watford last weekend. They were also beaten 2-0 by Chelsea in the FA Cup in mid-week, meaning they had lost three of their previous four fixtures ahead of their clash against the Cherries at Anfield.Jurgen Klopp’s side found themselves trailing once again when Callum Wilson gave the visitors a shock 1-0 lead in the ninth minute.Everybody associated with Liverpool was left furious because they felt the goal should have been disallowed for Wilson’s push on Joe Gomez. But the goal was allowed to stand, despite a VAR review, to the surprise of many. However, this Liverpool side are made of strong stuff and they scored two goals in eight minutes to complete the turnaround.Mohamed Salah equalised with a smart finish in the 25th minute before Sadio Mane made it 2-1 from a Virgil van Dijk assist.Klopp, presumably still fuming that Bournemouth’s goal wasn’t disallowed, celebrated by giving some to the assistant referee.Watch the clip here…

Classic Klopp.

The charismatic German coach wears his heart on his sleeve and can’t hide his emotions.

Liverpool went into the half-time break 2-1 up thanks to Salah and Mane’s goals.
