Israel Adesanya retained his UFC title with a low-action win over Yoel Romero at UFC 248 on Sunday morning. The Nigerian did just about enough to get over the line in a battle that has been branded one of the 'strangest in UFC history'.Adesanya and Romero were desperate to avoid taking too many hits and spent most of the night feeling each other out.In the end, though, it made for a rather unentertaining spectacle and the night will be more fondly remembered for some of the tussles that took place in the build-up to the main event in Las Vegas.Weili Zhang and Joanna Jedrzejczyk came to blows in what is already being called the fight of the year, with both ladies going hammer and tong and leaving absolutely everything out in the Octagon before Zhang was crowned the winner. Both fighters looked absolutely spent by the final round and gave fans the exact fight they would've been hoping for from the main event. However, there was another brilliant moment earlier in the evening when Beneil Dahirush brutally knocked Drakkar Klose out with a stonking left hook. The pair exchanged blows before Dahirush backed his opponent up to the cage before landing the massive blow.World-famous podcaster and UFC commentator simply couldn't believe what he was watching and produced one of the most epic reactions to a knock out you could ever hope to see.

Brilliant.

In truth, Romero and Adesanya can be grateful that the undercard was so entertaining after what they offered up.

Rogan probably wasn't on the brink of an incident at any time during the main event and is sure to have something to say about it on his podcast this week.

Now, all eyes will be on UFC 249 as the salivating prospect of Khabib Nurmagomedov taking on the dangerous Tony Ferguson edges ever closer.

We certainly hope that two of the biggest names in the sport can give Rogan yet more reason to go berserk when they meet on April 19.
