Roy Keane brutally mocked Liverpool's Adam Lallana on live TV

Roy Keane has never been a man to hold back from giving his honest opinion.

The Manchester United legend is often one of the toughest critics in the studio when on punditry duty and the target of the Irishman’s latest tirade was Liverpool’s Adam Lallana.

When discussing the rise of Chelsea prodigy Billy Gilmour ahead of Chelsea’s game against Everton – which the Blues comfortably won 4-0 yesterday – Keane had some choice words for Lallana.

The English midfielder came up against Gilmour in the FA Cup a few days before and it was the Chelsea teenager who came out on top in their battle.

Keane was far from impressed with Lallana’s inept display at Stamford Bridge and he hilariously quipped that his own daughter is stronger than the former Southampton midfielder.

“I think Everton in a strange way will be a tougher test than the Liverpool game, because Lallana was in midfield that night and I think my daughter’s probably stronger than him,’ Keane said on Sky Sports.

“(Gilmour’s) performance the other night was fantastic. I was sitting at home and as the game started I was literally getting out of my seat thinking ‘who is this kid in midfield’.

“There are certain traits you want from a midfielder: quality on the ball, footballing intelligence, composure – he had everything.

“It was one of the best performances I’ve seen in a long, long time. The downside for the kid now is he’s got to back it up.”

Keane is certainly not a fan of Lallana, but he’s a BIG supporter of Gilmour.

The Scottish midfielder earned his second man-of-the-match award in the space of a few days against Everton, starring at the base of Frank Lampard’s midfield once again.

He’s already earned adoration from Keane as well, which is praise of the highest order in the footballing sphere.

Lallana’s 31 and he clearly still hasn’t earned it…
