Europe's top leagues are now less than three months away from completion.

Liverpool look to have sewn up the Premier League title in record fashion, Paris Saint-Germain are bound to retain their Ligue 1 crown and Juventus have regained the initiative in Serie A.

Meanwhile, there's a fascinating battle between Barcelona and Real Madrid for La Liga supremacy, while Bayern Munich have slowly wrestled back control in the Bundesliga.

But away from the teams that have been claiming the headlines this season, there have been plenty of fascinating narratives surrounding up and coming stars around the continent and globally.

And arguably the most fascinating way to keep up to date with all the goings on in the beautiful game is by studying Transfermarkt's wide-ranging data on players' transfer values.

30 players with biggest value rises

Plus, with the European seasons coming to a close, they've decided to execute their first major update of values for 2020 and, naturally, it makes for intriguing viewing.

So, we've decided to run through the numbers and compile the 30 players that have seen their transfer values rise the most since July 2019. Check out the full list down below:

30. Todd Cantwell | Norwich City

Previous value: £0.9 million

Current value: £19.80 million

There hasn't been a lot to shout about at Carrow Road this season, but Cantwell has been a shining light throughout the Canaries' struggles and will surely remain in the Premier League for 2020/21.

29. Donyell Malen | PSV Eindhoven

Previous value: £6.3 million

Current value: £25.20 million

Arsenal are sheepishly being linked with Malen after releasing him from their youth setup in 2017 and 11 Eredivise goals from just 14 games suggests they could do worse than securing a reunion.

28. Bukayo Saka | Arsenal

Previous value: £0 million

Current value: £19.80 million

Speaking of Arsenal, their assist-provider in chief has been the shining light from a season that has seen them play youngsters regularly and 36 first-team games at 18 years old is brilliant experience.

27. Reinier | Real Madrid

Previous value: £2.7 million

Current value: £22.5 million

Reinier hasn't kicked a football for Real yet, although he did score his first goal for Castilla at the weekend, but his Brazilian predecessors are clearly enough to boost his transfer value pronto.

26. Tyrone Mings | Aston Villa

Previous value: £4.5 million

Current value: £25.2 million

You've got to credit Mings for rubbing shoulders with players who are largely wonderkids by completely rocket-launching his career to international status with a strong season at Villa Park.

25. Gaetano Castrovilli | Fiorentina

Previous value: £1.62 million

Current value: £22.5 million

Castrovilli is really coming into his own in the Fiorentina first-team after spending two years out on loan with Cremonese and the 22-year-old's form was rewarded with a call-up to the Italy squad.

24. Marash Kumbulla | Hellas Verona

Previous value: £1.62 million

Current value: £22.5 million

Just three years into his career as a full-time footballer and Kumbulla, 20, is one of the most exciting young defenders in Europe, attracting interest from Inter Milan and Chelsea amongst others.

23. Gabriel Veron | Palmeiras

Previous value: £0 million

Current value: £22.5 million

A round of applause for Veron as the only player outside of European football on the list, although his value seems to be based more on transfer rumours than his actual professional appearances.

22. Caglar Soyuncu | Leicester City

Previous value: £13.5 million

Current value: £36.0 million

Despite Leciester's form crashing and burning over the winter months, they've hardly missed Harry Maguire now that their Turkish colossus at centre-back has adapted to Premier League football.

21. Theo Hernandez | AC Milan

Previous value: £13.5 million

Current value: £36.0 million

Things never worked out for Hernandez at the Bernabeu, so his renaissance with the Rossoneri goes to show that struggling to make the cut at Real Madrid is no criticism for players on the rise.

20. Lucas Ocampos | Sevilla

Previous value: £13.5 million

Current value: £36.0 million

Ocampos always looked a solid player during his time with AS Monaco and Marseille, but his dramatic leap in value is demonstrative of just how much he's improved at third-placed Sevilla.

19. Denis Zakaria | Borussia Monchengladbach

Previous value: £18.0 million

Current value: £40.5 million

Gladbach's assault on the Bundesliga title has faded away, but it was inevitable that their shot at Bayern's throne would benefit their squad and Zakaria's £22.5 million jump is testament to that.

18. Diego Carlos | Sevilla

Previous value: £11.7 million

Current value: £36.0 million

Carlos has really kicked on after swapping Ligue 1 for La Liga this season and you can expect his transfer value to keep creeping up, especially as Spanish reports keep linking him to Liverpool.

17. Luis Alberto | Lazio

Previous value: £25.2 million

Current value: £49.5 million

Yes, this is the same Alberto that played for Liverpool in 2013-14 and he's now loving life near the Serie A summit alongside his former teammate Lucas Leiva. Michael Edwards is human, after all.

16. Gabriel Martinelli | Arsenal

Previous value: £0 million

Current value: £25.2 million

You know your transfer value is going to skyrocket when Jurgen Klopp is calling you the 'talent of the century' and 10 goals from 26 matches from his debut season is certainly a promising sign.

15. Alphonso Davies | Bayern Munich

Previous value: £9.0 million

Current value: £36.0 million

If you're in doubt about Davies' stock rising at the Allianz Arena this season, then you only need to look at his masterclass against Chelsea last month to see the ability in those Canadian boots.

14. Ferran Torres | Valencia

Previous value: £18.0 million

Current value: £45.0 million

With a high work rate and youthful energy, Torres has been turning heads in La Liga this season and it's only a matter of time before Barcelona and Real Madrid start waving their money about.

13. Tammy Abraham | Chelsea

Previous value: £18.0 million

Current value: £45.0 million

Injuries mean that Abraham hasn't found the net since early January, but establishing himself as Chelsea's leading scorer and a Golden Boot contender at 22 years old shouldn't be ignored.

12. Trent Alexander-Arnold | Liverpool

Previous value: £72.0 million

Current value: £99.0 million

It's mental to think that Alexander-Arnold is still only 21 and the young Liverpool star is more than deserving of a £99m valuation after matching his own Premier League assist record for a defender.

11. Sadio Mane | Liverpool

Previous value: £108.0 million

Current value: £135.0 million

Who the heck is this guy? Mane is enjoying his finest season at Liverpool with 18 goals from 38 games on course to the Premier League crown and is comfortably in the world's top 10 players.

10. Renan Lodi | Atletico Madrid

Previous value: £3.6 million

Current value: £31.5 million

Atletico love themselves a top defender and Lodi is turning out to be exactly that under Diego Simeone's management, featuring during the shutout of Liverpool's near-invincible team.

9. Eduardo Camavinga | Rennes

Previous value: £3.6 million

Current value: £31.5 million

Camavinga had barely turned 17 years old when the hype around him started, running Paris Saint-Germain ragged with incredible skills that could get Real Madrid loosening their pursestrings.

8. Mason Greenwood | Manchester United

Previous value: £0 million

Current value: £28.8 million

The comparisons to Robin van Persie certainly seem justified when you watch some of the strikes that Greenwood has rattled in this season and 11 goals in 15 starts is nothing to be sniffed at.

7. Mason Mount | Chelsea

Previous value: £10.8 million

Current value: £40.5 million

Mount ended his 18-game goal drought with a superb strike against Everton on Sunday, but the 21-year-old has still been a breakout star for Frank Lampard's men even when the goals have dried up.

6. Dejan Kulusevski | Parma

Previous value: £0.9 million

Current value: £31.5 million

The talented Swedish midfielder has been a real star for Parma and Italian football being Italian football, Juventus just couldn't resist making an approach and will snap him up in the summer.

5. Martin Odegaard | Real Sociedad

Previous value: £13.5 million

Current value: £45.0 million

Just as the hype surrounding Odegaard looked to have fizzled out, the Real Madrid loanee has delivered an incredible season in La Liga and could be ready for his big break at the Bernabeu.

4. Ansu Fati | Barcelona

Previous value: £0 million

Current value: £36.0 million

You name a record and Fati has probably broken it this season. Barcelona's youngest ever La Liga and Champions League goal-scorer looks a real talent at merely 17 years and five months old.

3. Federico Valverde | Real Madrid

Previous value: £18.0 million

Current value: £54.0 million

Making 32 appearances for arguably the biggest club in the world when Zinedine Zidane is your manager is no easy feat and some would argue Valverde has been Real's best midfield this season.

Whether you agree with that or not, it seems clear that the 21-year-old, who already has 20 caps for Uruguay, will inherit the mantle of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos when the time comes.

2. Lautaro Martínez | Inter Milan

Previous value: £27.0 million

Current value: £72.0 million

Inter's challenge for the Serie A title might have gone off the boil, but Europe's top clubs can't get enough of Martinez after his breakthrough season at the San Siro.

Sixteen goals from 31 appearances doesn't do the Argentine's electric displays justice, forming a formidable partnership with Romelu Lukaku and finding the net nine times for his country.

1. Erling Haaland | Borussia Dortmund

Previous value: £4.5 million

Current value: £54.0 million

Who else? Haaland has taken to the Bundesliga like a duck to water, scoring a stunning hat-trick on his debut and establishing himself in the starting XI with a ridiculous 12 goals in 10 games.

That's not to mention bagging nine goals in one game for Norway U20 last summer, scoring a treble on his Champions League debut and then hitting a stellar brace against Paris Saint-Germain.

Haaland claims the top spot

It's pretty hard to argue with Haaland claiming top spot.

The Norwegian striker has been an absolute phenomenon this season, smashing home 28 goals in just 22 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg and picking up from where he left off in Germany.

It's also no surprise to see rising stars like Martínez, Fati and Greenwood rubbing shoulders with him in the top ten having entered the 2019/20 campaign largely under the radar.

Plus, Real Madrid will be rubbing their hands together when they see how much Valverde and particularly the on-loan Odegaard have really kicked on this season.

And it goes to show that no matter who you support, it's always fascinating and entertaining in equal measure to see which stars from around Europe and the world are poised to take over.

For our money, it's hard to look past the personified goal machine himself: Mr. Haaland.
