WWE Hall of Famer Edge's return to Monday Night Raw was scheduled last night, and he wasn't coming back to make friends.Six weeks ago, The Rated-R Superstar's miraculous and triumphant return to the ring was almost ended as soon as it began by Randy Orton. The Viper has been on a crusade of hurting people in the weeks that followed, with Matt Hardy and Edge's wife Beth Phoenix the two main victims.Edge was always going to come back though, but instead of him coming out to hunt Orton down, it was instead the also recently-returned Montel Vontavious Porter who ended up being the pre-cursor to what was about to happen.MVP told the crowd that he transitioning from a competitor to a manager, and he stated that he wanted to build his stable around a superstar like Edge - but he questioned the Canadian's focus at around the time he was arriving to the arena. He went one step too far though by bringing up Beth Phoenix, so Edge took his frustrations out on MVP with a Spear. But almost immediately, Orton showed up to lay a beating to Edge - only to be hit by his own deadly finishing move - the RKO.

The fans in Washington D.C. loved that, and whilst Orton managed to escape from any further punishment, the unfortunate MVP didn't.

Another RKO followed, and then came two vicious Con-chair-to's that showed that the fire had not escaped from Edge's belly in the nine years he has been away.

What did we learn from this segment then? Well when Orton and Edge inevitably end up going at it at WrestleMania 36, it is going to be absolutely brutal.

With the amount of violence being shown in recent weeks, you can probably expect the bout to be a No Holds Barred match, which will add another level of chaos to proceedings.

We can assume that it'll be less than four weeks until we see Edge's first singles match in a wrestling ring since 2011 - and it can't come soon enough!
