Daragh Curley has officially broken Liverpool Football Club.If you don’t know who Daragh Curley is, he’s the 10-year-old lad who recently went viral after sending a letter to Jurgen Klopp asking him to make Liverpool lose.Liverpool were unbeaten in the Premier League at the time and also in the FA Cup and Champions League. And Daragh, a Manchester United fan, was eager to see them lose.“Liverpool are winning too many games,” Daragh wrote. “So the next time Liverpool play please make them lose.“You should just let the other team score.”Klopp responded to the youngster by telling him that he couldn’t grant his wish, writing: “It is my job to do everything that I can to help Liverpool to win as there are millions of people around the world who want that to happen so I really do not want to let them down.”

And yet since Daragh wrote to Klopp, Liverpool can’t stop losing.

They’ve been beaten four times since the Man United fan sent his letter, including defeats in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.

The Reds were beaten 1-0 by Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their last-16 tie and on February 18 before losing their unbeaten run in the league against Watford 11 days later.

The following week they were beaten 2-0 by Chelsea in the FA Cup and Atletico Madrid beat them at Anfield on Wednesday evening.

So that’s four defeats since Daragh’s letter, and exits from two competitions.

He’s got Klopp on strings.

The German boss did tell Daragh that Liverpool would eventually lose “because that is football”, but he won’t be pleased about the run of four defeats in six games.

The Premier League title is sewn up but to crash out of two competitions in the space of eight days is disappointing, especially considering that this was once a team that looked capable of winning multiple trophies this season.
