WWE news: AOP's Rezar set to be out of action for at least six months with a torn bicep

Rezar suffered an unfortunate injury on Monday Night Raw

In what was an obvious perfect fit on first viewing, WWE paired one of the most fearsome duos in the company with Seth Rollins in late 2019.

After a quiet year last year, the Authors of Pain were given a big storyline in November as they interfered in a match between Rollins and Kevin Owens - attacking the Canadian.

It wouldn't be long before Rollins would recruit Akam and Rezar - now known as the shortened AOP - to his new stable.

Surprisingly though when an opportunity came for the Raw Tag Team Championships, it was the make-shift team of Seth and Buddy Murphy who went for the belts instead of the established pairing of AOP.

Akam and Rezar may get chances further down the line, but you almost forget that they already won the belts back in 2018 from Rollins and Dean Ambrose, however not long after Akam suffered a knee injury which kept him out for six months.

They've competed in several matches since aligning with Rollins, but disaster has struck again - and this time it's to Rezar.

AOP have regained a prominent spot on Raw thanks to their alliance with Seth Rollins

It was reported that the Albanian Psycho has suffered some form of injury in the main event of Monday Night Raw - which was an eight-man tag team match.

And it's now been reported that it's pretty serious, as according to Dave Meltzer, Rezar suffered a torn bicep after catching Street Profits' Montez Ford after hitting a Crossbody, per Fightful.

It's incredibly bad luck considering they've just regained a prominent position on the main roster, and it looked like they could have been heading towards a series of matches against the Viking Raiders.

Rezar is the man who has been struck down with the injury this time

If the prognosis is indeed a torn bicep, then you can expect to see Rezar out for at least six months, if not longer.

We wish Rezar a successful recovery!
