This week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown will air from WWE's Performance Center in Orlando, in front of no live audience.
The decision to move the show from Detroit, Michigan comes in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
An official statement reads:
"Friday Night SmackDown on March 13 will air live as regularly scheduled and emanate from WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida with only essential personnel in attendance. WWE said in
"The event was originally scheduled in Detroit, Michigan.
"We are putting contingency plans in place in the event that upcoming WWE shows are cancelled by government officials, civil authorities and/or local venues.
"We are monitoring the situation closely and as always we will take the necessary precautions to protect the health and wellness of our fans, performers and employees."
This Friday's episode is certainly going to be a bizarre one. It's a far from ideal situation given WWE had a big show planned.
Jeff Hardy and Paige were set to return to the Blue Brand, while John Cena was also expected to make an appearance.
Now, they will likely be returning in front of no audience. Given we're on the Road to WrestleMania, this couldn't have come at a worse time.
As of writing, there has been no official word on what's happening to next week's Monday Night RAW, or even WrestleMania 36 itself.
Reports are suggesting the biggest show of the year is under threat, with the Mayor of Tampa meeting city officials to 'discuss cancelling or postponing major events' in the area.
We should hear a final decision in the coming days, but with 'the show of shows' just over three weeks away, WWE are certainly cutting it fine.
