Jon Moxley has donated 1,000 euros to an independent wrestling promotion which has been affected by the coronavirus.

Jox Moxley was scheduled to take part in Over The Top (OTT) Wrestling’s ScrapperMania 6 event this weekend in Dublin, Ireland this Saturday night in the show’s main event.

However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, OTT was forced to cancel the event, which is also their biggest event of the year.

The independent wrestling promotion quickly set up a GoFundMe page in order to try and cover their lost revenue. Many wrestling fans have given what they can in order to support the Irish promotion.

One fan noted that no other than Moxley himself has donated to the cause, once again proving himself to be one of wrestling’s good guys.

Moxley donated 1,000 euros under his real name, Jonathan Good, to the GoFundMe page, but after a fan spotted and tweeted out his donation, he changed it to anonymous.

This isn’t the only time Moxley has shown his compassion for the wrestling community this week, as he also tweeted out a picture of his dog to try and put a smile on fan's faces that have been affected by the coronavirus.

As of writing, OTT is just a couple of euros short of its 6,000 euro target. It’s great to see the wrestling community come together for a great cause.

Plenty of other wrestling promotions have been affected by the coronavirus over the past few weeks as well, including WWE and AEW.

WWE has been forced to broadcast this week’s episode of SmackDown from their Performance Center in Orlando, while the status of WrestleMania 36 in April in Tampa is still up in the air.

March 18’s episode has been moved from Rochester, NY to Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida, while March 23’s episode from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ will also be moved to a yet to be named location.
