Infinity Ward are set to offer four to five-player squads in 'Call of Duty: Warzone', Patrick Kelly has confirmed.
The free-to-play battle royale was only released earlier this month but it's developers are already making plans for the future.
Currently, the game only offers two modes - one allowing respawning and one which does not. In both game-modes, players are required to work in squads of three players against up to a total of 150 players in a single match.
But in an interview with USA Today, Infinity Ward's co-head Kelly has said bigger squads could soon be coming to Warzone.
"I can tell you we have four and five-player squads we are already playing with. But we want to launch with something we know works really well and we have tested to the nines and then play around with these different team sizes."
The game currently assumes you are competing in a team of three but players are not denied the chance to compete in a pair or even on their own.
This, clearly, provides a disadvantage to those competing in a smaller squad size and with larger teams on the horizon, Kelly made no mention of specific lobbies for each size.
He said: "So let's say you show up alone and just want to play solo ... or if you show up with a buddy, you just check the box that says, 'Don't fill my squad,' and you will just be a duo."
Kelly did confirm, however, that the developers continue to look to the future for more improvements, he added:
"There's a ton of content plans and live events to come that will continue to keep fans guessing and ready to experience new thrills."
Warzone was officially announced just 24 hours before it was released on March 10.
The game is free-to-play and is a standalone game available to play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC.News Now - Sport News
