Yesterday evening, the Premier League announced that this weekend's fixtures would go ahead.That was before Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was diagnosed with the coronavirus.The Premier League called emergency talks for Friday morning and, after Callum Hudson-Odoi was also diagnosed with the virus, they made the decision to postpone the league until at least April 3.Officials have noted, in private, that they don't expect the league to restart then due to the severity of the virus.So, what should the Premier League do should the coronavirus continue to get worse?Some have noted that they should cancel the league altogether.That's an argument that was used by representatives from West Ham and Tottenham when the clubs met on Friday.
And avid Arsenal fan Piers Morgan is in agreement with the two London clubs.When replying to Jamie Carragher on Twitter, Morgan wrote: "Only fair thing to do is abandon this season & start all over again in August as if it never happened."Heart-breaking for Liverpool, Leeds etc but this is an unprecedented global pandemic that is going to get a lot worse & frankly a few hurt football fans’ feelings don’t matter."

It's certainly a controversial opinion.
As Morgan noted, teams that are having sensational seasons like Liverpool and Leeds would be gutted.
Liverpool are so close to winning the Premier League after 30 years and are just one win over Man City from finally ending that wait.
Leeds have been stuck in the Championship for over 15 years and are within touching distance of a return to England's top tier.
I don't necessarily agree that the season should be cancelled now. I believe we should wait to see how the situation develops first before diving into such a massive decision.
If the coronavirus continues to get worse and all other options have been exhausted, the football season must be cancelled.
It would be interesting to see whether Morgan felt the same were Arsenal having a better season, mind...
