Every Premier League club's best player so far this season according to stats

Tottenham Hotspur v Brighton & Hove Albion - Premier League

Unfortunately, the Premier League season has come to a halt.

The coronavirus has spread across the world and, on Friday morning, it was announced that the Premier League had decided to suspend the season.

The league is currently scheduled to commence at the start of April but that date could easily be put back given how the virus develops.

The Premier League was reaching it's business end, with every club having 10 or fewer games remaining.

As English football goes into hiatus, we've used statistics provided by Whoscored.com to name every Premier League club's best player so far this season.

We did the same all the way back in October near the start of the season and now we've decided to do a March edition.

Only performances in the league have been taken into account. Players must have played at least 1000 minutes (equivalent of just over 11 full games) to be taken into account.

Arsenal: Nicolas Pepe - 7.19

Pepe has had an up-and-down season. He's only scored four goals and recorded six assists but has still been Arsenal's best player.

Arsenal FC v Newcastle United - Premier League

Aston Villa: Jack Grealish - 7.33

Who else? Grealish has almost single-handedly carried his boyhood club this season. He will have to be on form when the league commences again if Aston Villa are to stave off relegation.

Bournemouth: Phillip Billing - 7.00

Signed for £15 million in the summer, Billing has been a positive in what has been an extremely poor season for Bournemouth so far.

AFC Bournemouth v Sheffield United - Premier League

Brighton: Dan Burn - 6.95

Brighton don't have a single player with a rating over 7. Burn spent last season on loan at Wigan in the Championship but has performed well this term.

Burnley: James Tarkowski - 7.11

Tarkowski has been given five Man-of-the-Match awards by WhoScored this season and just pips Dwight McNeill to be named Burnley's best player.

Burnley FC v Norwich City - FA Cup Fourth Round

Chelsea: Willian - 7.25

The Brazilian winger has got his fair share of stick in recent times but has been impressive for Chelsea this term. His contract runs out in the summer though and Chelsea will be wise to extend his stay.

Crystal Palace: Wilfried Zaha - 7.06

Zaha isn't have his best season; he's only made eight goal contributions. But that's still enough to be named Palace's best player.

Crystal Palace v Newcastle United - Premier League

Everton: Richarlison - 7.32

Richarlison's stock has risen even more this season with 10 goals and three assists. A move to one of the world's biggest clubs is surely on the horizon.

Leicester: Ricardo Pereira - 7.50

Statistically, Pereira has been the Premier League's best full-back in 2019/20. Unfortunately, his season was cut short after he recently tore his ACL in his knee.

Leicester City v Birmingham City - FA Cup Fifth Round

Liverpool: Sadio Mane - 7.50

Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mo Salah are all in the running for PFA Player of the Year but Sadio Mane has been the best of the bunch. He's recorded 14 goals and nine assists and is now considered as one of the best players in the world.

Manchester City: Kevin De Bruyne - 7.92

De Bruyne is now, unquestionably, the best midfielder in the world. He has recorded a ridiculous 18 assists and scored eight goals this Premier League season.

Real Madrid v Manchester City - UEFA Champions League Round of 16: First Leg

Manchester United: Marcus Rashford - 7.34

Rashford has had his best season in front of goal, scoring 14 Premier League goals, despite suffering a serious back injury in January.

Newcastle United: Allan Saint-Maximin - 7.18

The former Nice player is one of the, if not the most exciting player in the Premier League. He's been a revelation for Newcastle and they will struggle to hold on to him in the summer.

West Bromwich Albion v Newcastle United - FA Cup Fifth Round

Norwich: Emiliano Buendia - 7.24

Buendia's first campaign in the Premier League has been a success. He hasn't been able to find the back of the net but has recorded seven assists. Norwich may not be in England's top tier next season but there's a good chance Buendia will be.

Sheffield United: Chris Basham - 7.00

Basham has been a big part of a Sheffield United side that have had the second best defence in the league this season.

The English defender was playing for the club in League One just three years ago.

Sheffield United v Newcastle United - Premier League

Southampton: James Ward-Prowse - 7.09

Danny Ings has scored 15 times this season but it's Ward-Prowse who has been Southampton's best player. He's recorded seven goal contributions from midfield.

Tottenham: Harry Kane - 7.30

Kane notched 14 goals before suffering a serious injury in February. Tottenham have fallen apart in his absence.

FBL-ENG-PR-TOTTENHAM-CHELSEA

Watford: Troy Deeney - 7.14

Deeney missed a big chunk of the first-half of the season but has netted six times in his last 14 appearances.

West Ham: Sebastien Haller - 7.21

Haller, signed for £45m in the summer, has only hit the back of the net but his statistics show he's been better than his goal tally suggests.

West Ham United v Southampton FC - Premier League

Wolves: Adama Traore - 7.61

Traore has been one of the breakout players of the campaign. He's terrorised defenders this season and has 11 goal contributions to his name.
