Becky Lynch has claimed it’s ‘business as usual’ in the WWE despite the coronavirus pandemic having an effect on other sports around the world.

Since the coronavirus was declared a pandemic, many sports around the world have reacted by either cancelling or postponing upcoming events until later this year.

However, WWE is one of only a handful of promotions that is still putting on events.

They’ve recently moved their Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown shows to their Performance Center in Orlando, and they’re being put on in an empty arena.

As of writing, WrestleMania 36 is still taking place on April 5 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa despite the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking to TVInsider, Becky Lynch has stated that it’s still ‘business as usual’ in WWE despite the coronavirus outbreak.

The Raw Women’s Champion said: “It’s business as usual. I think we’re constantly meeting different people. We’re constantly shaking hands. We know to use hand sanitizer. We’re always exposed to so many different bacteria in our lives and so many different countries.

“You can’t freak out about any of this stuff. You have to continue on and hope for the best.”

Lynch is following the same approach to the coronavirus which WWE has been doing over the past few weeks, but for how long the company will be able to continue doing this for remains to be seen.

Vince McMahon is yet to postpone WrestleMania, but Tampa’s Hillsborough County has said if Vince doesn’t postpone the show soon, they may be forced to ‘pull the plug’ for him for public safety reasons.

The Man is expected to be on Raw this week to further push her feud with Shayna Baszler and promote their match at this year’s WrestleMania, even though the status of the event is up in the air.
