It might be a few years since Michu retired from football but you can be sure that Swansea fans won't be forgetting him anytime soon.
The former Spanish international had an instant impact with Swansea and his spell there coincided with the club's most successful years in recent memory.
The Swans signed Michu in July 2012 after an impressive season with Rayo Vallecano in La Liga and he netted on debut in a 5-0 thrashing of QPR at Loftus Road.
He continued his form throughout the season, scoring a very impressive 18 goals in 35 league appearances during the campaign.
He scored one goal in two appearances in the FA Cup and he scored three goals in six appearances in the League Cup, including netting in the final against Bradford as Swansea won 5-0, the first time that they had won the competition in their history. Swansea's League Cup win also earned them a first appearance in the Europa League.
As a result of his heroics, Michu was named as the club's Player of the Year and the supporters' Player of the Year.
His domestic form didn't go unnoticed with Spain coach Vicente del Bosque either, and he made his debut, and only international appearance, in the 2014 World Cup Qualifier at home to Belarus in October 2013.
Though his form during his debut season had earned him a new four-year contract in 2013, he wasn't able to replicate his feats of the 2012/13 season the following year, scoring just twice in 17 appearances. He was eventually loaned to Serie A side Napoli for the 2014/15 season before returning to Spain after one injury-hit season.
Injury curtailed the rest of his career and he is now working as Technical Secretary for his local club Oviedo, where he had started and ended his playing career.
