Around the world, we're all trying to figure out what life looks like while we fight the coronavirus pandemic and for many of us that will involve self-isolating.

It's no surprise then that everyone is sharing what they are – or aren't – doing on social media. Serena Williams, for example, has announced that she is spending the next six weeks at home with her family and has promised to keep everyone up-to-date with how she finds it, including filming make-up tutorials (our new must-watch content now that there's no live sport!).

We thought it was only right to see what our other sporting faves have been up to so far...

WSL Delivery Service

We've loved seeing FA Women's Super League players offering their services to people in self-isolation on Twitter. Aoife Mannion kicked things off when she tweeted: "Hi anyone out of town concerned about their elderly relatives accessing grocery stores for their food shop in the central Manchester area, DM me maybe I can help."

West Ham's Martha Thomas and Gilly Flaherty followed suit and Millie Bright has also tweeted about helping. In uncertain times we all need to pull together and it is great to see these players leading the way!

Downward dog anyone?

For anyone who has tried to do a workout at home with a pup wandering around, this tweet from Belgian tennis player, Elise Mertens is oh-so-relatable. All she wanted to do is enjoy an at-home workout, but her dog had other ideas and tried to join in with the fun. Cute.

Mertens isn't the only one working out with her dog, England and Olympique Lyonnais right-back Lucy Bronze lined up against her dog for a spot of one-on-one training in her back garden. She shared the workout on her Instagram Story and we can't think of a better training partner.

It's wine time

We can always rely on Megan Rapinoe to tell it how it is, and the US Women's National Team star used her Instagram stories to criticise the NWSL's statement calling for players to "remain in their respective markets" during the league's ban on club training.

Rapinoe clearly didn't think the statement went far enough, writing: "Markets!? More like stay in your apartments/ houses!!! Practice social distancing."

It is also clear from her stories that Rapinoe is making the most of her time in, and perhaps still celebrating her role in the USWNT's SheBelieves Cup victory last week (we know it feels like a lifetime ago to us too!).

She shared a popular meme about spending quarantine drinking wine, with the caption "This was NOT me last night..." Political and relatable – you love to see it. Rapinoe, we'll raise our next glass or two to you!

It's not all laughs

Just like coronavirus is changing all our lives, it is important to remember that for athletes being limited to at-home workouts could have a significant impact on their career. This is something boxer Ramla Ali highlighted, tweeting: "Proving quite difficult for me to train for the Olympic qualifiers at the moment with gyms closing and borders being lockdown resulting in top sparring hard to come by now 😫"

It's also quite unnerving, something that USWNT captain Carli Lloyd mentioned: "I’ve been self quarantined at my home for only 3 days and I can honestly say I am not used to this. I feel lost and have not shut down like this in a LONG time. But finding peace with the pause of life!"

Since then Lloyd has shared a snap of her with her feet up outdoors, looking out at a forest with the sun shining down and to be honest we'd like to join... from a socially-distanced distance of course.

Keep smiling

We had to end with this message from queen Dina Asher-Smith because if you're like us and finding coronavirus is pretty overwhelming, her Instagram post is a timely reminder to try and keep finding things to smile about.

We'll be back with more stories from self-isolation and if you want to share any of your own experiences drop us a DM on Twitter or Instagram, we'd love to hear from you.
