A member of the Scotland Women’s Rugby team who had tested positive for coronavirus, is now “feeling back to normal” according to Scottish Rugby.
Members of the Scottish side, including players and staff had been taking precautions and Scotland’s home tie with France in the Six Nations was also postponed.
The player in question was released from hospital and no-longer needs to self isolate.
This year’s Six Nations has been filled with controversy and complications. Questions were raised over the lack of prize money, fixtures were postponed due to weather, and in the end the tournament itself was postponed due to coronavirus fears.
Scotland failed to win a game during this year’s campaign, although only two fixtures were completed. They picked up a losing bonus point against Ireland but were comprehensively defeated by England the following week. Despite this, there were positive signs of improvement for Phillip Doyle’s side, and clear indications that the team is moving in the right direction.
