Sony is reportedly interested in buying both ‘Metal Gear’ and ‘Silent Hill’ from Konami

Who can forget the heart-pounding adrenaline rush one would get when playing any of the Metal Gear series?

The iconic franchise dominated a generation and is easily one of the most successful games since the turn of the millennium.

It produced hours upon hours anxious wincing and gasping as you snuck your way around the various beautifully crafted environments that developers Konami provided.

While ‘Snake Eater’ was a personal favourite of mine, it really is impossible to come to a consensus on which instalment was the best of the lot.

It was a home-run from Konami, and fans have been hoping and praying for a remaster, or a completely new game, ever since.

Sadly, as the years have gone on, those hopes have begun to wane but, there may be some light at the end of the tunnel.

That is because reports are starting to circulate that Sony could be interested in buying the franchise from Konami.

On top of that, the tech giant is also interested in another Konami colossus; the Silent Hill games.

While we must point out that these rumours are very much in their infancy, gamers will be absolutely tickled pink by the thought of having another opportunity to play as Snake.

While I was never able to get through Silent Hill myself, I know whole-heartedly just how big a deal it is that the game could be getting a reboot and certainly hope that it happens sooner rather than later.

Again, we have to point out that this is purely rumour-based at the moment but in our opinion, it is certainly better than having no hope at all.

If Sony could get the deal done and have the new games out to us in the next seven days so we can enjoy them during quarantine, that would be superb.
