New England Patriots legend Tom Brady has agreed a deal to join Tampa Bay Buccaneers ahead of next season, according to numerous sources, as reported by Sky Sports News.
Brady announced yesterday that he would be leaving the Patriots in an emotional statement to the franchise and the fans. The decision to leave sees an end to his 20-year long stay.
According to Sky Sports, a deal has been agreed between Brady and the Buccaneers, with a contract in the region of £25m-a-year being signed.
NFL Network tweeted out the following with regards to the news: "Tom Brady has an agreement in principle to join the Buccaneers."
Regarding the six-time Super Bowl winner, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport had the following to say: "With the Chargers out of the running, the Bucs offer to QB Tom Brady is believed to be roughly $30M per year. They are the only known team to make an offer.
"Tampa Bay has been confident all day and for good reason.
"To be clear: Former Patriots QB Tom Brady has an agreement in principle to join the Bucs, source said. It is believed to be roughly $30M per year."
Brady ends his New England Patriots career with six Super Bowl rings, and numerous other achievements, including; Four-time Super Bowl MVP, three-time NFL Most Valuable Player, 14-time Pro Bowl, NFL 2000s All-Decade Team and NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.
Of course, that's just a handful of achievements Brady earned during his 20-year career with the Pats, but it's time for a new chapter in his illustrious quarterback story.
Who knows what's in store for him at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but one thing is for sure, he will always remain a New England Patriots legend.
