Floyd Mayweather has earned over $800 million throughout the course of his incredible career

Errol Spence Jr v Mikey Garcia

It is probably safe to say that Floyd Mayweather buys his shirts in a different shop to you and me.

However, just in case you did not know it, here is a reminder: Floyd Mayweather is a wealthy man.

Right, now that we are on the same page, we can get down to the nitty-gritty of discussing just how rich the American actually is.

Mayweather has never been shy to flex his financial muscle throughout an incredible career that has seen him rack up a superb 50-0 record taking to social media far too regularly to show off his opulent lifestyle.

His most recent fights have been worth far more than just a pretty penny as well, with bouts against the likes of Conor McGregor and his 'fight of the century' clash with Manny Pacquiao raking in mountains of cash.

So, the question has to be asked, just how big has that mountain of cash become since his first professional fight way back in 1996?

The answer, it's a thundering great pile now.

While not all data is available from some of his early fights, the tentative figure is believed to be in the region of no less than $800 million.

Not bad.

Career Earnings (disclosed): $807,954,000

We've highlighted some of the bigger ones just to heighten our sense of insignificance but would you just look at that Pacquiao purse - enormous.

The scary thing is that the above figures are only his disclosed earnings from his various fights and so, in reality, the figure could be far, far bigger.

If Mayweather can land another super fight with the likes of McGregor or Khabib Nurmagomedov, then that figure could easily surge pat the $1 billion mark.

No wonder he has been so loud in the media recently - the poor guy just wants to be a billionaire.

Surely someone, out of the kindness of their own heart, can make that happen.
