In a time of struggle across the world, WWE are doing their best to still provide entertainment to households.

Vince McMahon has insisted that the show must go on behind closed doors, and along with All Elite Wrestling are providing some entertaining moments for fans.

WrestleMania going ahead is another story, but Stone Cold Steve Austin's segment on Raw this week proved that you don't always need fans in the audience to pull something off.

Only essential personnel is allowed inside the WWE Performance Center when shows are being produced, and every person who enters is screened to make sure that they are not at risk from coronavirus.

We only saw one actual match on Raw this week, and the advertised live segments for SmackDown tonight include a Rob Gronkowski appearance and a contract signing between Roman Reigns and Goldberg - but the new schedule is set to change.

Tonight's episode of SmackDown is likely to be the last live WWE show for a while, as both the blue brand and Monday Night Raw are set to be taped in advance.

That practice is nothing new nowadays for WWE, as they tape shows when they are on the European Tour - but these episodes will have no crowd.

According to PW Insider, next week's SmackDown that was originally scheduled to be live on March 27, will instead be taped tomorrow - which may give the production team time to add some crowd noise!

It may not just be next week's episodes that are being taped in advance, as the following week may also be filmed so that WWE has their ship in order before WrestleMania arrives.

They are definitely making the best out of a bad situation, and there are definitely positives to take away from the product despite their being no audience to elevate the matches.
