It wasn't the most ideal of settings, but Rob Gronkowski made his 'official' debut with WWE last night on SmackDown. He's already stepped into the ring before at WrestleMania 33 to send Jinder Mahal flying, but that was just a taster of what was to come.Earlier this week it was announced that Gronk would be the host of WrestleMania 36, which is now a two-night event coming out of the WWE Performance Center. It would've been better for everyone if Gronk's larger than life personality was hosting the show in-front of over 70,000 fans, but his SmackDown appearance was perhaps a trial run to see how he performs in-front of no spectators. And to be fair to the NFL legend, he can definitely cut a half-decent promo, as he took to the mic with his best friend Mojo Rawley, and told Michael Cole that he's 'ready for anything' in his new role with WWE.What fans probably WEREN'T ready for though is Gronk's entrance, which was full of uncoordinated dancing and wackiness.

As you can see above, the fan who posted the video clearly isn't fond of Gronkowski, but the former Patriots tight end looked like he was having a whale of a time.

For anyone who doesn't follow American Football, Gronkowski is a self-confessed party boy, and his antics over the years have been well publicised.

And it seems like he's bringing his real-life personality to WWE, but it will definitely split opinion for the fans watching at home - especially for ones who aren't familiar with him.

One thing that made him more unpopular though was that he made a match for WrestleMania in two weeks time - pitting Elias against King Corbin, who came down to confront Gronkowski.

It's a bout that's not exactly needed on the card, but it's happening anyway.

Early reaction to Gronk's SmackDown debut has been mixed to say the very least, but he's got time on his side to win the WWE Universe over!
