Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy is likely to select from the same squad of players when his side host Macclesfield.

Danny Carlton scored twice as the Shrimps came from behind to secure all three points and ease their relegation fears with a 2-1 success at Barnet on Saturday.

McIlroy again looks set to be without goalkeeper Barry Roche because of a thigh injury, so Joe Anyon will line up between the posts again.

Defender Paul Scott is stepping up his fitness, but is set to remain absent as he recovers from a knee operation.

Blackburn winger Zac Aley last week moved to the Globe Arena on an emergency loan until the end of the season and will hope to make his debut.

Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson will assess Sam Wedgbury and Paul Bolland.

Both men picked up injuries during Saturday's 3-3 draw at home to Torquay and are doubtful.

Defender Shaun Brisley could miss out again with a groin strain and striker Vinny Mukendi will be assessed as he bids to shake off a knee injury.

Fellow frontman Simon Yeo looks set to remain sidelined with a similar complaint as the Silkmen bid to put further daylight between themselves and the relegation places.

Simpson said: "We know it will be tough and we might have to shuffle things a little bit with injuries to Bolly and Wedge, and one or two looking a bit tired."
