Chris Jericho has shut down a fan who is frustrated by AEW’s decision to cancel the upcoming Blood & Guts match between The Inner Circle and The Elite for the foreseeable future due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.AEW was scheduled to have their Blood & Guts match on this week’s Dynamite between The Inner Circle of Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz vs The Elite’s Cody, Hangman Page, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson and Matt Hardy. However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Tony Khan announced in a statement last week that AEW would be postponing the match for the foreseeable future in order to protect the health of their wrestlers. Instead, fans will be treated to a different show on this week’s Dynamite instead. While many fans understood this decision by AEW, some did not, and they showed their frustration with the company on social media. One fan’s outraged by the decision made by AEW to postpone their Blood & Guts show for the time being actually caught the attention of Chris Jericho and forced him to respond to defend the company’s decision. The fan said: “I can't get into it, My disappointment is to high that #bloodandguts has been canceled, #AEW needs to come straight out and explain why #bloodandguts is not happening, You spend the whole #AEWDynamite building for it, Just to cancel it on Thursday, Makes no since.”Jericho defended AEW’s decision to postpone the Blood & Guts match in his response, and he shut the frustrated fan down too.He tweeted: “First off, pull your head out of your a** and realize these are crazy times. Secondly, we aren’t allowed to gather more than ten people together at a time. B&G has 11 inside the cage and that’s with no camera men or crew.”

When the Blood & Guts match will be rearranged for remains to be seen, but just like Jericho said, it’s important that AEW continues to put the health and safety of everyone first when deciding exactly when to do this match.

As Khan said in his statement last week, the match will happen when the time is right. Until then, AEW fans will have to enjoy a confrontation between Jericho and Hardy on this week’s Dynamite instead.
