WWE news: Seth Rollins delivered one of his greatest ever promos on RAW last night

We may have seen the match several times before in the past, but Seth Rollins versus Kevin Owens at WrestleMania will be very different this time.

Rollins was the first challenger to Owens’ newly-won Universal Championship in 2016 and they fought against each other for months.

But back then, Owens was the dastardly heel and Rollins was the beloved babyface trying to win what Triple H stole away from him.

Over three years later, the tables have turned and it is KO who the WWE Universe adore, and after the fans turned on him in the latter stages of 2019, Rollins made a much-needed heel turn, and became the Monday Night Messiah.

Rollins has delivered a series of sermons as a heel, but he still acts as though he’s doing what’s best for business and is being nice to the fans in attendance [before WWE went behind closed doors], so he’s not your typical bad guy.

Seth has always been decent on the microphone, but he really excelled himself last night on Raw when he came face-to-face with Owens once again.

The general premise of Rollins’ words were that his sacrifices when he joined WWE back in 2010 paved the way for stars like Owens to profit in the present day.

Rollins name-dropped Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano and Undisputed Era as stars who wouldn’t be who they are if it wasn’t for him, and also took credit for the Performance Center, NXT and even the Women’s Revolution!

The Kingslayer then mocked KO’s WrestleMania record, and told him that he has no chance of defeating him at the event, as he turns into ‘God’ under pressure.

Strong words from the Monday Night Messiah, and the promo has been heralded as his greatest one in his WWE career so far.

And you can hardly argue with that, as he smashed it completely out of the park – and the fact there was no crowd made it even better.

The match at Mania will probably be similar to what you’ve seen before, but the mic work is making this feud 10 times better!
