Who is the worst player to ever put on the shirt for your beloved team?

Football fans have been answering that question on Reddit, with supporters from around European weighing in.

Every fan remembers a player who was just useless. Even the biggest clubs in the world have got it wrong, with Manchester United supporters still unable to erase Bebe from their minds.

Liverpool fans were debating between Paul Konchesky or Christian Poulsen.

Meanwhile, Chelsea's list included Winston Bogarde, Papy Djilobodji and Danny Drinkwater.

We’ve listed some of the examples given in the Reddit thread below.

codespyder | Manchester City

“We broke our club transfer record for Jô back when we just started dabbling with big transfers thanks to Shinawatra money. I remember looking up his highlights for months in advance of his transfer, buying into the hype that he’d be the next great Brazilian striker.

“Disappointing doesn’t even begin to describe it. He was so f****** useless.”

FCAsheville | Liverpool

“Paul Konchesky - Liverpool.”

phonylady | Liverpool

“As bad as he was, I think Poulsen played worse for us. Going further back, we had so many terrible defenders in the 90s. Phil Babb comes to mind.”

OrigisGoldenBoot | Liverpool

“Jovanovic or Assaidi, they were supposed to be decent. Everyone knew what to expect from Konchesky.”

amsollecram | Barcelona

“Douglas - FC Barcelona.”

Tezemery | Barcelona

“No way was he the worst in our history, barely even played for us, players like Rochemback, Geovanni, Hleb and Christanval are a 100 times worse.”

Caltek20 | Chelsea

“From modern times I’d say Danny Drinkwater.”

nixty84 | Chelsea

“Djilobodji or any of the other random people we brought in during 15-16 too.”

Virtuaofficial | Inter Milan

“Inter - High toss up between Yuto Nagatomo, Kuzmanovic, Ranocchia.

“Fun fact: they were all starters on the same squad at one point lmao.”

Hogwartsfrozen | Chelsea

“Winston Bogarde is worse surely. Who with only 9 appearances wouldn’t move from Chelsea due to nobody being able to pay him the same or higher salary.”

ItchaBoiSid | Manchester United

“Dong maybe. Bebe and Obertan were s**** too. Gibson wasn’t terrible but so out of his depth and was only really good for a long shot, post-Ferguson I’d say Tyler Blackett or Andreas Pereira although he’s had a few good performances.”

throwmeintothewall | Valencia

“We had a lot of fun people in defence over the years. Aderlan, Abdennour, Dealbert, Stankevicius, Bruno, Navarro, Cissokho, Siqueira, Senderos, Alexis and now Diakhaby.

“I’d say Aderllan Santos was the absolute worst. He wasn’t as error prone as some of the others. He was just constantly out of his depth.”

buymepizza | Manchester United

“Andreas Pereira is far from the worst post Ferguson player. Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Falcao, Victor Valdes, f****** Alexis Sanchez.

“Sanchez is probably our worst signing ever.”

Old_Roof | Tottenham Hotspur

“Kevin Scott.

“Honourable mentions: Andy Booth, Grzegorz Rasiak, Alan Hutton, Paulinho, Anthony Gardner.”

SonGokuecas | FC Porto

“FC Porto: From recent times, it might actually be Manafá without even meme'ing.”

AndyTateRegen | Manchester United

“Blackett, Pereira, Januzaj, Wilson...While coming up they were getting so overly-hyped then were almost complete failures. Pereira is getting a lot of s*** now, but he's probably the best out the lot.”

Lovebanter | West Ham United

“For us, easily Roberto. Never had a sense of dread like I did whenever I saw his name in the team sheet.”

anti_sucks | Minnesota United

“Vadim Demidov, CB. Named captain for our first season, we proceeded to concede 16 goals in the 3 games he played. He was released right after the third one.”

niagaselawra | Liverpool

“In terms of prolonged agony I'm throwing Moreno into the mix just for being one of the only professional players scientifically proven to have a lower number of brain cells than their squad number.”
