Last month Conor McGregor made a victorious return to UFC with a quick and brutal win over Donald Cerrone in the welterweight division.

McGregor walked away with a TKO victory and another slice of history as he became the first fighter to achieve knockout victories in the featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight divisions.

Notorious' 40-second dismantling of a talented fighter in Cerrone was not unusual as a compilation of his top finishes shows.

1. Alvarez vs McGregor 2016

First up is McGregor making more history as he became the first fighter to hold titles in two different weight classes simultaneously after a TKO win over Eddie Alvarez. On show here is McGregor's striking accuracy as he takes advantage of a small opening to land multiple blows and force his opponent to the canvas.

2. Brimage vs McGregor 2013

Next up is McGregor's UFC debut in which he gave the world a taste of what was to come in a measured performance on his feet against Marcus Brimage who had no answer once McGregor let those fists fly.

3. Jahnsen vs McGregor 2011

Something from before McGregor's UFC days as he takes on Aaron Jahnsen on Cage Warriors: Fight Night 2. This is a brutal display of ground-and-pound as Notorious is audibly coached to be careful picking his shots on his way to a TKO victory.

4. McGregor vs Brandao 2014

A win on home soil for against Brandao came courtesy of a powerful left hand that left the Brazilian reeling and McGregor didn't hesitate to follow it up and end the bout.

5. Poirier vs McGregor 2014

Immediately after the fight against Brandao, McGregor matched up against Dustin Poirier. The Irishman dispatched this one in some style by following up a verbal assault with an explosive left hand to send his opponent to the canvas.

6. O'Keefe vs McGregor 2012

Another highlight from the early years as McGregor shows some if his defensive skills before unleashing a barrage of elbows into the side of Steve O'Keefe's head to take the knockout.

7. Mendes vs McGregor 2015

A finish right at the death in round two against Chad Mendes as Notorious manages to evade the take-down and show his striking power to bring a brutal encounter to an end. Measured and powerful punches made McGregor the interim featherweight champion.

8. McGregor vs Hill 2012

Here we see a different side to McGregor as he subjects Dave Hill to his first submission defeat and, to date, this is still the only submission win we've seen from the Irishman.

9. Aldo vs McGregor 2015

Measured, quick and powerful. Everything that we've come to expect from McGregor as he beat Aldo to the punch to become the featherweight champion proper. He brought a much-anticipated bout to an explosive conclusion by displaying all the attributed that had got him there in the first place.

The question is, after those clever shoulder strikes against Cerrone, is it time to add another finish to McGregor's highlight reel?
