Britney Spears has claimed to have run 100 metres in just 5.97 seconds, smashing the world record set by Jamaican Usain Bolt of 9.58 seconds in 2009 in the process. It seems the glamorous pop star is using the time during the coronavirus pandemic to keep as active as much as she can. Of course, there is nothing wrong with that. However, claiming to have smashed Bolt's world record is truly ridiculous. The 38-year-old is all about getting incredibly active in 2020 and has revealed to her fans on Instagram of her workout routines.Previously, she revealed she ran the 100-metre dash in 6.8 seconds, which is still considerably faster than Bolt, but then claimed that she used to run it in 6-flat back at high school. If this was the case, why didn't she take up athletics over a career in singing?! She'd have won every single medal imaginable and would have all the world records to her name. And now, she claims to have beaten that incredible time by posting her new best on her Instagram page.“Ran my first 5!!! Getting over your fear of pushing it in the beginning is key… once I did that I hit 5!!!!“Usually I run 6 or 7… my first try was 9… and now I did it whoop!!! 100-metre dash.”This year, Britney says she wants to do a lot more acro yoga and the basics of yoga. She said: “I’m a beginner and it's kind of hard to let go .... learning to trust and letting someone else hold your body!!!"Britney added: “I have a lot of things I keep bottled up so I have to keep my body moving!!!”But, the Instagram post was acknowledged by popular Twitter account Didn’t Happen of the Year Awards (DHOTYA), which also claims that her time was completely inaccurate and didn’t break the world record by four seconds.

Let's be honest, they are right to call her out. It simply didn't happen; sorry, Britney.

Her time would have also beaten the women’s 100m world record (10.49 seconds), which has stood for 32 years and was set by Florence Griffith-Joyner of the US at the 1988 United States Olympic trials in Indianapolis.

Once again, if Britney Spears did actually beat the current record, which she didn't, she would be in line to compete at the rescheduled Tokyo Olympics next year.

However, that will never happen.
