NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The show - originally scheduled for Sunday, April 26 - will now take place in October instead. A statement from the 3Arena in Dublin reads: "NXT Takeover scheduled to take place at 3Arena on Sunday, 26 April has been postponed and will now take place on Sunday, 25 October."All tickets remain valid for the new date."The news will no doubt be disappointing for British-based wrestling fans, but given the situation, it's hardly surprising.  WWE are yet to officially comment on the postponement.

TakeOver Dublin is the second NXT UK event to be postponed, with June's Download Festival - which would have featured a number of matches - cancelled.

A statement from the organisers said: "Download Festival will no longer be taking place this year.

"We’ve been closely monitoring this unprecedented situation and it’s become clear that it just isn’t possible for the 2020 festival to go ahead.

"This decision hasn’t been taken lightly and we’re beyond disappointed, we extend our heartfelt apologies to all of you – we really did try to make this work."

While two NXT UK events have been lost to the coronavirus pandemic, WrestleMania battles on. But not as we know it.

This year's Showcase of Immortals will be pre-taped and air in front of no audience, over two nights.

That's a lot to take in, right? But WrestleMania, no matter how different it is this year, will offer an escape from what's going on around us and that can only be a good thing right now.
