Starting March 30, GiveMeSport Women will be hosting a lockdown takeover with five athletes from three different sports.

The five different individuals joining us through this date, until April 3 are as follows:


Beth Dobbin: 

Dobbin is a British 200m sprinter, who holds the current Scottish record of 22.50 seconds in that event - beating Sandra Whittaker's time of 22.98 seconds - a record held since 1984. The 25-year-old has represented Great Britain in the 2018 Athletics World Cup where she finished third, as well as European Championships the same year - the following year she represented Team GB in the World Championships. Her dad is Jim Dobbin, a former Celtic, Barnsley, and Grimsby Town footballer. 


Sandy Ryan:

Ryan is an English amateur boxer who trains at One Nation Amateur Boxing Club. The 26-year-old has represented England in three different weight divisions and won three medals to date. She won a Gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the welterweight division, a Silver medal 2014 Worlds Championships in the Light welterweight division, and a Bronze medal at the 2016 European Championships in the Lightweight division. Sandy has also fought for Great Britain at the European Games in 2015, winning a Bronze medal. 


Lucy Quinn:

Quinn is a striker who currently plays for Women's Super League club Tottenham Hotspur. The 26-year-old has played for three clubs other than Spurs, they are Portsmouth, Yeovil Town, and Birmingham City. Though she is yet to represent England at international level on a football pitch, she has featured for them at the 2017 Women's Euro Beach Soccer Cup, where she played in goal and won the Best Goalkeeper award. In the same year, she represented Great Britain in the 2017 World University Games, her performance in the tournament saw her score the most goals - winning the Golden Boot.   


Chloe Peplow:

Peplow is a midfielder who also plays for Tottenham. The 21-year-old's previous clubs include Brighton & Hove Albion and Birmingham City. During her time at Birmingham, she was a runner-up in the 2016 Women's League Cup and the Women's FA Cup in 2017. She has represented England at Under-15, Under-17, Under-19, and Under-20 level playing at the U-17 and U-19 European Championships, as well as the U-20 World Cup. 


Laura Rafferty:

Rafferty is a defender who plays for Brighton & Hove Albion in the WSL. Though born in England, she plays international football for Northern Ireland, making 24 appearances to date. The 23-year-old came through Chelsea's Centre of Excellence, before making her senior debut for the club in 2014. She left the Blues in pursuit of first-team football.
