On Thursday, the FA announced that the 2019/20 season will be declared null and void for non-league divisions below the National League and National Leagues North and South.
It left football fans wondering whether the same decision will be made in the Premier League.
As we all know, Liverpool are just two wins away from Premier League glory. Meanwhile there is an almighty race to qualify for next season’s Champions League and the race for relegation is really hotting up.
Will we see a conclusion of the campaign?
For now, fans will just have to play the waiting game as the coronavirus pandemic worsens around the globe. There are far more important things than football right now.
But what will happen when - or if - the Premier League does return to conclude the 19/20 season?
Well, wonder no more.
That’s because talkSPORT have simulated the rest of the season and now we know *exactly* what’s going to happen.
You won’t be surprised to hear that Liverpool won the title with a 1-0 win against Brighton. They actually lost three times in the season, losing to Everton and Manchester City to go along with their defeat to Watford.
They also fell three points short of Manchester City’s 100 point record.
Talking of City, they finished just 12 points adrift of Jurgen Klopp’s side - not bad considering they’re currently 25 points behind. Pep Guardiola’s side also won the FA Cup again.
Chelsea trump Leicester into third with the Foxes holding off Manchester United, Wolves, Arsenal and Tottenham to finish fourth - just four points separated those five teams.
As a result, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked and replaced by…Steve Bruce.
At the bottom of the table, Norwich unsurprisingly finished bottom and were relegated to the Championship. Joining them are Bournemouth and Brighton, who both picked up 35 points. Aston Villa narrowly escaped with 36 points.
So, there you have it.
Tell the Premier League there’s no need to finish the season because we now know what would have happened.
