Cristiano Ronaldo has been the scourge of Liverpool throughout his career.

Whether that's been helping Manchester United beat them to the 2008-09 Premier League title or defeating them in the 2018 Champions League final, Kopites must be sick of the sight of him.

All in all, the Portuguese has played against the Reds on 12 occasions - winning eight, drawing once and losing three - and has provided three goals and two assists along the way.

However, one crucial detail that was missing from Ronaldo's record against the Merseyside club was a goal at Anfield... until 2014, at least.

Ronaldo hadn't managed to score away to Liverpool during his time in English football, but had a second bite at the cherry when Real Madrid drew them in the 2014/15 Champions League.

Liverpool 0-3 Real Madrid

And although the Reds' defeat at the Bernabeu, where Brendan Rodgers' played a bizarrely weak starting XI, is well remembered, the reverse fixture seems to have bene lost in the history books.

However, as the lack of live sport turns to us to throwbacks and old videos, we couldn't help bringing that Anfield clash back into the spotlight and Ronaldo's individual highlights in particular.

Besides, not only did Ronaldo finally bag his first goal at Liverpool's legendary ground - and it spectacular fashion too, by the way - but he also dropped a superb overall performance.

Ronaldo's individual highlights

But why are we bring this up now? Well, that's because YouTuber 'Legasus', who boasts over 450,000 subscribers, has uploaded the memorable highlights to their channel this week.

From dazzling the right side of Liverpool's defence, leaving Dejan Lovren on his backside and even giving a cheeky nod to Steven Gerrard, the montage is more than worthy of a watch.

So, if you're looking to kill some time in self-isolation, fear not and tuck into six beautiful minutes of the day Ronaldo 'DESTROYED Liverpool Single-Handedly'. Check it out down below:

Ronaldo in his prime, ladies and gentleman.

The 35-year-old remains box office to this very day and the same can be said of his United spell, but there was nothing quite like Ronaldo during his middle seasons in a Real Madrid shirt.

In fact, that very campaign was Ronaldo's most prolific at the Bernabeu, scoring an astonishing 61 goals in just 54 appearances and 10 of those strikes came in the Champions League alone.

Bearing that in mind, Liverpool can perhaps consider themselves lucky for only conceding once to the Ballon d'Or winner with Karim Benzema bagging the other strikes in a 3-0 win.

Nevertheless, football isn't all about scoring goals and we should treasure performances like the one above as Ronaldo creeps closer and closer towards retirement. Stay brilliant, CR7.
