Paulo Dybala reveals he could 'hardly breathe' during coronavirus battle

Unfortunately, the coronavirus has devastated Italy and multiple Serie A players have tested positive.

That includes Juventus.

Daniele Rugani became the first Juve player to be diagnosed with the illness, followed by Blaise Matuidi.

And, just six days ago, Paulo Dybala revealed that he, as well as his girlfriend, had contracted Covid-19 too.

“Hi everyone, I just wanted just to inform you that we have received the results for the Covid-19 test and both Oriana and I have tested positive,” he wrote.

“Luckily we are in perfect conditions. Thanks for your messages.”

It was a relief to hear that Dybala was feeling well following the positive diagnosis.

However, six days on after the news, the Argentinian has spoken out on his fight against the virus.

And he revealed that his symptoms worsened and it got to the point where he was struggling to breathe.

“I developed strong symptoms, but today I already feel much better,” he told his club’s official YouTube account, per football-italia.

“Now I can move better, walking and trying to train. I could hardly breathe, I couldn’t do anything after five minutes.

“My muscles ached. Fortunately, Oriana and I are better now.”

It seems like the illness really took it’s toll on Dybala. It’s worrying to hear that the Juventus playmaker, at the age of 26 and physically fit, was struggling.

But it’s a relief to hear that he is now on the mend and much better now.

English forward Charlie Austin has also spoken out about how severe the virus is.

“A week later and I would say to anyone, even those in their 20s and 30s – ‘Don’t take it lightly – it’s serious’,” he said.

“I get that people who haven’t got it are going about their lives. Last week, I was living my life. Not that I didn’t take coronavirus seriously. But this is extremely serious and we should take it that way.”

If footballers are speaking about Covid-19 in this way then you know it’s serious. We advise everyone to stay home and stay safe.
