Cristiano Ronaldo has played with many sensational players during his illustrious career.Wayne Rooney, Gareth Bale, Iker Casillas, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric… the list goes on and on.But the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has also played with a lot of random players over the course of his 16-year career. In fact, some of the names will probably take you by complete surprise. All of these players have the honour of being able to tell their children and grandkids one day that they played with one of the greatest footballers of all time.Even if it was for a single minute, it still counts. They still played together on the same team as Ronaldo.Ryan ShawcrossYep, Ryan Shawcross - the Stoke City bruiser - was briefly Ronaldo’s teammate while at Manchester United.Shawcross entered the fray as a 90th-minute substitute in United’s infamous Carling Cup defeat to Southend in November 2006. Ronaldo played the entire game but was unable to prevent the Red Devils slumping to an embarrassing cup upset.Marcos AlonsoMarcos Alonso made just one appearance for Real Madrid and that was against Racing Santander on in April 2010.The current Chelsea left-back came on in the 90th minute for Gonzalo Higuain as Los Blancos sealed a 2-0 win.

Zoran Tosic

Technically, Zoran Tosic was a very good footballer. Physically, he wasn’t cut out for the Premier League.

He played 13 minutes with Ronaldo in a game against West Brom in January 2009.

Fabinho

Fabinho is now widely regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in the world, but he wasn’t as established in 2013.

During a brief loan spell with Real Madrid, the Brazilian made just one appearance against Malaga. He was on the pitch for 14 minutes and played alongside Ronaldo.

Kieran Lee

You have to wonder whether Ronaldo would even remember Kieran Lee. They played together for 15 minutes in that defeat against Southend.

Lee, now 31, has plied his trade with Sheffield Wednesday since 2012.

Manucho

Ronaldo and Manucho, who is currently without a club after leaving Spanish side Cornellà in 2019, played together on the same pitch for 16 minutes against Stoke City in November 2008.

James Chester

James Chester only made one appearance for Man Utd and that was against Derby County in the League Cup back in January 2009. The Aston Villa and Wales defender played 23 minutes alongside Cristiano.

Ben Amos

Ronaldo played 61 minutes for Man Utd in a 3-1 Carling Cup win over Middlesbrough back in September 2008. Ben Amos played the full 90. That was the only time they played together.

Rodrigo Possebon

Sadly, this is the game that Rodrigo Possebon’s career is remembered for. Just 10 minutes after Ronaldo left the pitch, Possebon was stretchered off with a suspected broken leg following a nasty challenge by Emanuel Pogatetz, who was sent off.

The once highly-rated Possebon completely disappeared off the radar after leaving Old Trafford in 2010.

Luca Zidane

Zinedine Zidane was always going to be accused of nepotism after playing his son, Luca, against Villarreal in May 2018.

The Frenchman conceded two goals in a 2-2 draw against Villarreal, which saw Ronaldo play for 62 minutes.

Paul Tierney

Paul Tierney won Man Utd’s Young Player of the Year award after the 2001-02 season thanks to his performances at youth level. He then made his senior debut against West Brom in December 2003, playing 77 minutes alongside a raw but talented Ronaldo.

Tierney last played for Altrincham back in 2009.

Danny Pugh

Danny Pugh played two games with Ronaldo - against West Brom and Northampton Town - during the 2003-04 season.

The 37-year-old has been with Port Vale since 2017.

David Jones

Another player who has spent most of his career in the Football League, David Jones played with Ronaldo at Man Utd in games against Exeter City and Southend.

Jerzy Dudek

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek spent four seasons at Real Madrid between 2007 and 2011 but played a combined 122 minutes alongside Ronaldo (in games against Auxerre and Almeria during the 2010-11 season).

Ritchie Jones

Ritchie Jones - remember him, United fans? - played a combined 86 minutes alongside Ronaldo in games against West Brom, Birmingham and Burton Albion during the 2005-06 season.

Ricardo Rocha

Ricardo Rocha, the former Tottenham and Portsmouth defender, played a handful of games with Ronaldo for Portugal during the 2007-08 season.

Chris Eagles

Chris Eagles showed a couple of moments of quality for Man Utd but, ultimately, wasn’t quite good enough.

He’ll always remember his four appearances alongside Ronaldo.

Royston Drenthe

The last we heard, Royston Drenthe was trying to become a rapper.

The Dutchman played five games - and a combined 185 minutes - with Ronaldo during the 2009-10 season at Real Madrid.

Danny Simpson

Playing six games with Ronaldo during the 2007-08 season was probably the highlight of his career - until he helped Leicester City win the Premier League title in 2016…

Jonathan Spector

Best remembered for his time at West Ham and Birmingham, Jonathan Spector began his career at Old Trafford and played five games with Ronaldo during the 2004-05 campaign.

Luis Boa Morte

Luis Boa Morte, the ex-Fulham and West Ham winger, played 28 games for Portugal between 2001 and 2009. In 11 of those games, he was on the same team as Cristiano.

Phil Bardsley

Phil Bardsley, who has enjoyed a decent career with various top-flight clubs since leaving United in 2008, played with Ronaldo 13 times at Old Trafford.

Emmanuel Adebayor

And last but not least, we come to Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Togolese striker was brought to Real Madrid on loan by Jose Mourinho in 2011. He played with Ronaldo 18 times during that spell.
