Juventus have been seriously impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Turin-based club have seen three players - Daniele Rugani, Blaise Matuidi and Paulo Dybala - test positive for the new Covid-19 virus.
Italy is currently in the midst of a strict lockdown to try and contain the virus and it's highly likely that football in the country will not be returning for a number of months.
As such, clubs across the nation will have to act in order to save themselves from being crippled financially.
Pay cuts will almost certainly be enforced at all clubs and Juve - Italy's most dominant club - have now announced that both Bianconeri players and coaches have agreed to a pay cut.
And according to Tuttosport, star man Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to lose a whopping €3.8m of his wages in order to protect the club during the coronavirus pandemic.
Juventus themselves did not announce any specific pay cuts in their statement, instead writing on their official website: "Juventus Football Club announces that, due to the current global health emergency which is preventing the performance of the sporting activity, it has reached an understanding with the players and the coach of the first team regarding their compensation for the residual portion of the current sport season."
Tuttosport report that the measures were agreed after club captain Giorgio Chiellini held a conference call with the rest of the squad on the matter.
Juve declare that the cuts will save the club around €90m.
Ronaldo himself pockets around €31m in wages from the club, so if the figure of €3.8m is indeed correct, players would likely be taking just over a 10% cut in wages.
However, there is the possibility that higher earners like Ronaldo have been asked to have more sliced off their salary to cope help cope with the crisis.
