The long awaited ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ campaign remaster looks like its going to be here sooner than most Call of Duty fans believed it would as the trailer has been released, reportedly from PlayStation Store Germany.

With what has been recently reported by popular gaming websites, namely that 'Modern Warfare 2' would release this year and that the latest 'Modern Warfare' update included artwork for the remastered title, this doesn’t necessarily come as a shock to 'CoD' fans, However, how soon it has been released does.

The 'Modern Warfare 2' remaster was first kind of announced unofficially last year by PEGI rating.

Earlier this month, Twitter user ‘@Okami13’ - who happened to know 'Call of Duty: Warzone' would release on March 10 - claimed that the remaster would be released this year.

Furthermore, the same Twitter user pinned a comment that read: "March 30", possibly hinting that the game could be released as soon as today.

Another random Twitter user said how ‘he was praying that the campaign released tomorrow’, which was also ironically pinned by @Okami13.

Last week, artwork titled ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ was released and many questioned the release of the remaster there and then.

Alongside the artwork, the description with it reads: "Purchase Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered and receive the Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost Bundle."

Although many believe that 'Modern Warfare 2' remastered will be a standalone title, it has been pointed out that 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2' remastered might be downloadable content (DLC) for the current 'Modern Warfare' game, rather than a standalone title, and that it will only include the campaign.

Activision - the company who make all Call of Duty games - are not strangers to just dropping something as if it is something from thin air, and this is what many believe they will do again with the remaster.

Despite the multitude of leaks and rumours surrounding the Battle Royale mode 'Warzone', Activision didn't confirm anything until 24 hours before the mode was released, so it's highly likely they'll do the same with the 'Modern Warfare 2' remaster.

Activision seem to be keen to revive old titles, and 'CoD' fanatics who are largely anticipating the drop of the new mode/game have thought that they will, once again, try to make the remaster almost nostalgic.

It is important to bare in mind that nothing has been officially confirmed by Activision as of yet, therefore meaning 'CoD' fans could still be waiting a while for the remaster to come out.
