British Boxing Board of Control today announced that all British boxing events will be postponed until the end of May at the very earliest.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, many professional fights of colossal importance have been postponed, leaving many questioning when they will be rescheduled and what it means for the future.
Firstly, there is the fight of major importance in the light-featherweight division between Lee Selby and George Kambosos Jr. This bout was originally set to take place on May 9 in Cardiff, however, like the others on this list, cannot go ahead due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The fight has been rescheduled for July 11, leaving fans of both fighters in nervous anticipation with another, potentially heated, build up to come.
Another fight of monumental importance is Oleksander Usyk vs Dereck Chisora in the heavyweight division.
Despite this not being for any world championships or anything like that, this is a fight in arguably the most stacked heavyweight division ever, not to mention knockouts being almost inevitable.
The date is still to be decided when it comes to when they are actually going to fight, however, it is definitely one to keep your eye on.
Finally, there is the other massively important heavyweight fight between Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin.

This fight was originally set to take place on May 2 and, like all of the others, has been delayed due to the coronavirus breakout.
Another fight that isn’t for any world championship belts, but another fight of massive importance when it comes to the shaping of the heavyweight division.
The winner of this fight is currently thought to be facing the winner of Chisora-Usyk, and then the winner of that possibly facing Deontay Wilder, depending on what happens in the trilogy fight between the Bronze Bomber and Tyson Fury.
This fight has been rescheduled for July 4.
