In the eyes of many, Lionel Messi is the greatest footballer of all-time.

He has six Ballon d'Or wins, 34 major trophies, 627 club goals and 138 Argentina caps to his name.

With all those accomplishments, the Barcelona star surely deserves the GOAT crown, right?

Well, not according to Real Madrid fans - many of them pick Cristiano Ronaldo over Messi.

But it's hard to blame them, given how much pain the Argentine has caused Los Blancos since bursting onto the scene in 2005.

El Clasico is traditionally the greatest rivalry in football - but since Messi's first, it seems to have taken on extra significance.

The Barca forward always raises his game on the biggest stage and a video declaring that 'absolutely no one has dominated El Clasico like Lionel Messi' has recently gone viral.

Check it out below - you won't be disappointed:

So, football fans, do you agree? Has anyone ever dominated El Clasico like Messi has?

The little magician has 26 goals in 42 games after all. That's more than any other player in the history of the fixture.

It's hard to argue against the video too, it shows the Argentine really has had some brilliant moments.

Some of Messi's best goals are included, but the footage doesn't even touch on his hat-trick against Madrid in his first-ever Clasico, or that iconic Champions League goal in 2011.

At least it does feature some incredible commentary, though.

"Getting him angry is like throwing gasoline on the fire!" famous beIN Sport analyst Ray Hudson says at the start.

"Lionel Messi... Oh wow! You can't hold him back!" another commentator says, before adding: "He literally takes the breath away, phenomenal football!"

It's hard to argue with any of those statements, really. But Real Madrid fans will probably still argue one of their many stars have dominated El Clasico instead.
