Brendan Rodgers wants to reunite with Philippe Coutinho at Leicester City next season

Philippe Coutinho will be up for sale this summer.

It certainly seems that Philippe Coutinho will be moving on again in the summer.

The Brazilian has spent this season on loan with Bayern Munich but the Germans will reportedly pass on paying to make the deal permanent.

And so Barcelona will have to look elsewhere to sell a player they paid a massive £142m for in 2018.

But Coutinho has never settled there and frequently looked a shadow of the player he was at Liverpool, where his performances earned that monster move to Catalonia.

And with Barcelona hoping to sign some stars ahead of next season, they feel they need to move Coutinho on.

So where could he go this summer? A return to Anfield appears to be completely off the cards, while his price at 27 years old rules out most clubs.

But while he may not return to Liverpool, reports claim that we could see a different kind of reunion.

Sport claim that Brendan Rodgers wants Coutinho at Leicester City next season to boost the team's Champions League bid.

Rodgers helped to bring Coutinho to Liverpool back in 2013 and set the Brazilian on his path to becoming one of the Premier League's best players.

Brendan Rodgers managed Philippe Coutinho at Liverpool.

Now, as Leicester boss, Rodgers hopes to reunite with the player in what would surely be the biggest deal in the Foxes' history.

Sport believe Leicester want an initial loan, with the idea being that Coutinho can replace James Maddison who could move to Manchester United.

But the Foxes aren't the only ones interested - Chelsea apparently see Coutinho as a replacement for Eden Hazard.

The Blues reportedly wanted him last summer but their transfer ban prevented any deal.

Now, however, they could be set to rival Leicester for the former Liverpool man.
