Samoa Joe has had a pretty rough start to 2020.

In February, it was announced that he had been suspended for 30 days after violating WWE's wellness policy.

But even before that, the Samoan Submission Machine suffered two concussions in a short time, which kept him out of action on RAW.

The first came during a tag-team championship match against Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy, but the second was sustained in a rather odd fashion.

Joe was injured while shooting a TV commercial for RAW - which has now been released by WWE.

Despite suffering a concussion, his spot is still included in the ad.

In the video, the RAW superstar says 'must be Monday' before the Authors of Pain slam him into an announce table.

Check out the full commercial below, with Samoa Joe's spot coming 19 seconds in:

It's reported by WrestleZone that the two-time United States Champion suffered the concussion when the announce table didn't break as it should have done. Ouch.

RAW's 'must be Monday' commercial also features Ricochet, Becky Lynch, Andrade, Charlotte Flair, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley performing different spots.

It's been released to a mixed reaction from fans. Some are calling it one of the best in recent years, while others think it's awful.

We're falling on the side of the latter, to be honest. The fact that Samoa Joe got injured shooting this cringe-fest just adds insult to injury, really.

WWE fans shouldn't expect to see him back in the ring anytime soon, either.

Although Joe's 30-day suspension ended on March 24, it's reported that he will be out for a 'considerable amount of time' after this latest concussion.
