A remastered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is reportedly in the works

Activision has reportedly taken yet another step to alleviate the boredom of gamers across the world, as a 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3' remaster is apparently in the works.

The gaming company has previously released rejuvenated versions of their previous Modern Warfare mini-franchises. The original Modern Warfare was remastered in 2016, while Modern Warfare 2 has recently been made available to PS4 users. It will then be made available to user gaming consoles on April 30.

Nevertheless, YouTuber TheGamingRevolution tweeted to his 18,000 followers stating that Modern Warfare 3 is "getting worked on," and indicated that Activision could be set to complete the remastered trilogy.

Within the gaming sphere, this particular YouTuber is considered to be rather reliable in regard to revealing information about upcoming games that are set to be released. However, TheGamingRevolution was unable to shed some light on an exact date, or period, in which the remastered Modern Warfare would be released.

One thing to consider, and especially with Activision, is that gone are the days of the months, upon months of build-up ahead of a game's release.

Within the instance of Modern Warfare 2, the remastered version was a pleasant surprise to gamers, as the release was announced just a matter of hours before the game was actually made available.

Possibly to squash rumours or avoid the possibility of leaked information, it seems that this is the approach that Activision has adopted in regard to releasing games in the future.

However, as mentioned previously, if you're desperate for your Modern Warfare fix then the second instalment is now available on the Playstation store.

In regard to Activision's other projects, it's been leaked that remastered versions of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot are also expected to hit the shelves to provide an element of some much-needed nostalgia.
