The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin were two of the Attitude Era's most important superstars.

Over the years they clashed in a heated rivalry which many WWE fans call the greatest of all-time and both men brought it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Their last match came at WrestleMania 19, in which The Rock retired Stone Cold, ending his decade-long career on the biggest stage of them all.

It was an emotional night for all watching, but especially for the two men that shared a very special moment inside the ring.

After covering the Texas Rattlesnake for the three count, Rock can be seen sharing some words with his great rival before climbing the turnbuckle and celebrating in front of the crowd.

Now, 17 years on, he's finally revealed what he said to Stone Cold at the moment their incredible rivalry came to an end.

"I hit him with three Rock Bottoms - I believe it was three Rock Bottoms - appropriately that's what you need to beat The Rattlesnake," Rock said, during an Instagram Live video.

"You can actually see me as I sit up and he's laying there - in front of everybody - and I whisper to him, 'I thank you so much for everything that you have done for me.'

"I said, 'I love you,' and I heard him say, 'I love you, too.'"

What a moment, shared between two of WWE's most important superstars.

Despite having one of the most heated rivalries in wrestling history, both The Rock and Stone Cold have spoken very highly of each other since stepping away from the ring.

They are two of the biggest icons WWE has ever seen, so to know they shared an emotional moment after WrestleMania 19 will be extra special for the fans who loved them so much.
