Anyone that was lucky enough to watch Ronaldo Nazario play will tell you he was one of the greatest players of all-time.

For some, including Jose Mourinho, he was the best.

"Ronaldo, El Fenomeno, Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi have had longer careers," he told LiveScore last year, per Marca.

"They have remained at the top every day for 15 years. However, if we are talking strictly about talent and skill, nobody surpasses Ronaldo Nazario.

"When he was at Barcelona with Bobby Robson, I realised that he was the best player I'd ever seen take to the field."

Sadly, as Mourinho alluded to, Ronaldo didn't have the longest stint at the top as he was plagued by injuries.

But during his prime he was borderline unstoppable.

Ronaldo had incredible feet, had nearly every trick in the locker, was blessed with pace and was lethal in front of goal.

Even the world's best defenders couldn't stop him - he was that good.

So, if you are still unsure as to how good he was or just want a reminder of his brilliance, we have just the video for you.

A YouTube video created by 'Hossam Ronaldo' shows Ronaldo humiliating the legendary defenders.

Ronaldo came up against multiple iconic names, including Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Nesta and Carles Puyol.

But even they couldn't stop themselves from being embarrassed when matched up against Ronaldo.

Watch the video below:

The video begins with Ronaldo getting to the byline and then nutmegging Puyol. Not a bad way to start.

It then moves on to his battles against the legendary Maldini.

The Italian defender is arguably the greatest defender that has ever lived. He got the better of almost everyone he played against.

But not Ronaldo. Maldini resorted to cynically pulling him back in one clip after he was embarrassed.

Many more clips of him falling over when one-on-one with Ronaldo follow.

Other players that get humiliated in the video include Jaap Stam, Fernando Hierro, Marcel Desailly and Fabio Cannavaro.

All of these world-class defenders must have been trembling in the tunnel before games against Ronaldo. He really was that good.
