The coronavirus epidemic has put a halt to football across the world.

Some leagues have just accepted that it is unsafe to finish the 19/20 season, such as Belgium.

All football in the country was cancelled on Thursday, with Club Brugge set to be crowned as Pro League champions.

This is not something that the Premier League want to do.

When all 20 Premier League clubs met to discuss what should happen with the rest of the 19/20 campaign, 18 clubs voted to finish it.

According to the Athletic, the majority of clubs still want to play the season to a conclusion after hearing that the Premier League stands to lose £762 million in broadcast revenue should the season not be completed.

However, the Premier League are struggling to come to a solution and are beginning to think of desperate measures to ensure the campaign is completed.

One of those ideas, proposed by an unnamed Premier League club, is to play the remaining games in China. What a bonkers idea.

The Athletic's report read: "One Premier League club has suggested exploring the feasibility of completing the domestic season abroad. China was mooted as the destination of choice."

This is one idea that will be discussed when all 20 Premier League clubs take part in a video conference on Friday afternoon.

Of course, the coronavirus originated in China.

The country have now contained the virus and they hope to re-start the Chinese Super League this month.

But to play the rest of the Premier League season in the country is just utterly ridiculous.

At the moment, this is just an idea and one that will most likely not come to fruition.

But imagine, just imagine if this actually happened. We can picture Jordan Henderson and Liverpool lifting the Premier League title in Asia right now...
