Who else is really starting to miss football?

It’s almost been a month since the last Premier League match and it will be at least another month until one is played.

We don’t care if it was Burnley vs Bournemouth, we’d still be glued to it when football eventually returns.

One thing we definitely miss on a Saturday afternoon is Gillette Soccer Saturday.

Hosted by Jeff Stelling, the programme features pundits watching Premier League games and telling us what is happening. Well, that’s what they’re supposed to do.

It doesn’t always happen like that - especially when Chris Kamara is involved.

And 10 years ago today, the greatest moment in Soccer Saturday history took place.

Kamara was at Fratton Park watching Portsmouth and Blackburn play out a drab 0-0 draw.

And the pundit must have switched off momentarily because he completely missed Portsmouth’s Anthony Vanden Borre being sent off.

It led to a quite hilarious exchange between Stelling and Kamara.

Stelling: “We’re off to Fratton Park where there’s been a red card but to who, Chris Kamara?”

Kamara: “I don’t know Jeff, has there? I must’ve missed that. Is there a red card?”

After Stelling informed Kamara that Vanden Borre had been shown the red card, Kamara admitted he saw the defender going off but he “thought they were bringing a sub on.”

Absolutely brilliant.

What we’d give to have an afternoon with Jeff and the boys just one more time.
