During a difficult and uncertain period in the world, it’s always nice to have some good news, as former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone is set to become a father for a fourth time, according to Blick.

The Englishman will be having the child with fourth wife Fabiana Flosi, with it being the first son for Ecclestone who will turn 90 in October.

His first child, with first wife Ivy Bamford, is 65-year-old Deborah as well as 35-year-old Tamara and 31-year-old Petra with second wife Slavica Radic.

The billionaire has been married to Flosi, who is a Brazillian marketing director, since 2012 with the couple exchanging rings at his ski chalet in Switzerland.

The Brazillian is 45-years-younger than the Brit, who headed the Formula One Group before getting replaced by Chase Carey as chief executive in 2017, though he does still remain as an advisor to the board.

"It is due in the summer," he told Blick, "Hopefully he'll learn to play backgammon soon.

"Like all parents, we have only one wish: the child must be born healthy," added Flosi, before cracking a joke; "Hopefully he will never express any interest in doing something in Formula 1."

A sport that has been left in tatters following the COVID-19 pandemic, after numerous races including Bahrain and Monaco was postponed as more uncertainty grows over the sporting calendar.

Ecclestone went on to show that he hasn’t lost his sense of humour as well.

"After my Formula 1 time, we've had plenty of time to practice!" he said, before insisting that a good sense of humour is imperative in the situation, or otherwise 'you'll break yourself'.

"I just want everything to be good with Fabiana even if the isolation goes on longer. Fortunately, the farm never runs out of work. Fabiana also looks after her own coffee plantation."
