Despite large portions of the WWE Universe wanting WrestleMania this weekend to be scrapped, here we are just one day away from the Grandest Stage of them All.
It doesn't quite feel right, though, does it? It doesn't feel like WrestleMania season and nor does it feel like we are just around the corner from WrestleMania weekend.
We should be absolutely hyped right now about the Hall of Fame ceremony going ahead this evening. We should be hyped about NXT: TakeOver coming at us tomorrow night. And then, of course, we should be hyped for the show itself on Sunday night.
However, that has all been scrapped and changed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and instead, we have two nights of WrestleMania action, which on the face of it sounds great, but in reality, it's gone down a bit like a damp squid.
No fans. No Roman Reigns. No atmosphere. No live reactions. No pops. Nothing. It just doesn't feel like WrestleMania, and that's a real shame.
However, like they say in the industry, the show must go on, and it will go ahead this weekend, so here are our predictions for every match.
Disclaimer: Anything can happen in terms of the actual matches we see over the weekend, but these are the matches that have been advertised by WWE as of writing this article.
Of course, we won't be mentioning Roman Reigns vs Goldberg, because it's well known that the former won't be competing. It is reported that Braun Strowman is filling that void, but we don't know that 100% so we're not even going to comment on that.
(If Strowman steps in, Goldberg wins. Simple)
Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler
First up we've got the love triangle that sees Otis battle Dolph Ziggler. I know, I know, it doesn't exactly scream WrestleMania, but it could be a good chance to give Otis his big moment, maybe even with Mandy Rose. That reason and that reason alone, we're going with Otis.
Elias vs King Corbin
Another match that quite frankly doesn't belong at WrestleMania, but here we are. A classic good guy vs bad guy, but it's between two superstars that currently have no momentum and no real importance. However, King Corbin is the more established on the main roster, so we're giving the win to him.
Winner: King Corbin
Bobby Lashley vs Aleister Black
Can you tell this card was rushed together and not really thought out? Aleister Black wins. 'Nuff said.
Winner: Aleister Black
The Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross - Women's Tag Team Championship
Tricky one to predict here as both have been having good spots recently. Because of the popularity of Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, we wouldn't be surprised to see them get their 'Mania moment and become the new champions.
Winner: Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross
The Miz & John Morrison (c) vs The New Day vs The Usos - Smackdown Tag Team Championship
Now there are a lot of rumours going around about this match, with some reporting The Miz isn't fit to compete, meaning this could turn into some form of triple threat ladder match, but as singles. So one of The Usos and one member of The New Day will go against John Morrison. No idea what will end up going down for this match, but we're backing Miz and Morrison to retain.
Winner: The Miz & John Morrison
The Street Profits (c) vs Angel Garza and Andrade - Raw Tag Team Championships
Again, there is big talk that Andrade will miss 'Mania due to a back injury and could be replaced. For that reason, The Street Profits are surely going to retain?!
Winner: The Street Profits
Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins
The first real match that we've discussed so far that has some real juicy storyline to it. Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins have been going at it for months now, and it's actually provided some great moments. Picking a winner is tricky as they could both do with obtaining a big win. However, we won't sit on the fence, and we'll go with the heel Seth Rollins.
Winner: Seth Rollins
John Cena vs ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt - Firefly Funhouse Match
It's got to be The Fiend Bray Wyatt, hasn't it?! Surely! Surely WWE won't bury him again like they did vs Goldberg. This would be the perfect opportunity for Wyatt to get back at Cena for their last 'Mania match, and it would make total sense. Although one thing is for sure, WWE don't do sense. Still, it's got to be The Fiend. IT HAS GOT TO BE.
Winner: The Fiend Bray Wyatt
Sami Zayn (c) vs Daniel Bryan - Intercontinental title
Daniel Bryan's return from injury hasn't been as spectacular as we'd have liked. Of course, it's been fantastic just seeing him be back in the ring, but it's clear WWE really had no plans for him. Could he become a mid-card champion? Perhaps. But it's leading more to Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura having some say in this match.
Winner: Sami Zayn
Bayley (c) vs Lacey Evans vs Naomi vs Sasha Banks vs Tamina - Smackdown Women’s Championship
Sasha Banks turning face and pinning her best friend Bayley? Yeah why not! Lacey Evans, Naomi and Tamina don't scream championship material, and quite frankly, Bayley's run hasn't been great. Time to mix it up and have a Bayley vs Banks feud.
Winner: Sasha Banks
Rhea Ripley (c) vs Charlotte Flair - NXT Women’s Championship
A very exciting match and one of the very first booked matches for this year's 'Mania. It's a real shame no fans will be in attendance for this as it has all the ingredients to be really special. Although Charlotte is clearly the more important talent right now, would it make sense for her to be NXT Women's Champion? Not really. A big win for Rhea Ripley incoming.
Winner: Rhea Ripley
Becky Lynch (c) vs Shayna Baszler - Raw Women’s Championship
Probably an unpopular opinion, but the Becky Lynch character has become a bit stale in recent months. She's not as hot as she used to be and her title reign is slowly diminishing. A new champion to mix things up? We're not so sure, but something does need to happen in the near future. For now, though, The Man retains.
Winner: Becky Lynch
The Undertaker vs AJ Styles - Bone Yard match
Another very hard match to predict, similar to Owens vs Rollins, but it wouldn't make sense for AJ Styles to defeat Undertaker here, unless 'Taker was officially ready to call it a day. For that reason alone, it's got to be The Deadman taking the win, doesn't it?
Winner: The Undertaker
Edge vs Randy Orton - Last Man Standing match
The one we're all looking forward to the most, right?! This has all the ingredients to be an absolute classic. One for the ages and a true 'Mania moment. Surely, surely for that reason, Edge is going to come back and defeat his long-term friend?! What a match it will be, though, and let's be honest, the real winner will be the fans.
Winner: Edge (The fans)
Brock Lesnar (c) vs Drew McIntyre - WWE Championship
This should've been Drew McIntyre's coming of age in WWE. Thousands in attendance seeing him topple the beast. Will he still do it? We think so, but it just won't be the same. Still, it's time to end Lesnar's reign and give McIntyre the chance to run the ship.
Winner: Drew McIntyre
So there you have it, there are our predictions for this weekend's WrestleMania.
We're sure you will have differing opinions on some of them, so let us know, but most of all, let's just try and enjoy it, despite it being a total car crash so far.
